Nancy Katheryn Wilson, oldest daughter of Chas. Wilson and wife was born in Clark county, Kansas, May 6, 1898, and died at the family home west of Protection, Friday, April 19, 1912, being at the time 13 years, 11 months and 13 days old.Miss Katheryn had been raised in this community and was one of the best loved and highly respected girls of this section. Her death was a shock to the community as she was sick but a few days. Death was caused by an acute attack of appendicitis for which it was found necessary to operate a few hours before death. Miss Wilson was of an affectionate and lovable disposition. Her friends were numbered by her acquaintances. She was always a patient, kind and considerate sister, a dutiful and obedient daughter. The funeral was held from the M. E. church in Protection Saturday, conducted by the pastor, Rev. D. C. Shields, and the body, accompanied by a large concourse of friends and relatives was laid in its eternal tomb in the family lot in the local cemetery.
CARD OF THANKS We desire to thank our friends and neighbors for their many kindness shown and their sympathies and consoling word and acts during the recent sickness and death of our beloved daughter and sister, Nancy Katheryn. Chas. Wilson and family.
