As noted in the STAR several weeks ago, Roland Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wright, now of Beaver-co. but formerly of this county, left home about August 1, going into the central portion of Oklahoma, and since then no trace could be found of him. The last definite information of his whereabouts located him in Enid. At that time he had a good team and had been working in the harvest field. Thorough search by the parents failed to reveal any clue as to where he had gone from Enid. A week or so ago, however, a few disclosures were made which may solve the mystery. Harry Baker, an uncle of the missing young man, while in Wichita happened to notice a team of horses which he readily identified as the ones which were driven by Roland. It was found that a young man from near Enid had sold the team to some Wichita parties. About the same time the news had reached Mr. Baker that the dead body of a young man had been found buried in a secluded place near Bliss, Oklahoma. Mr. Baker at once hastened to that city and made an investigation. He found that the body had been buried apparently for 2 or 3 months, that death had evidently resulted from a gunshot, as one or two bullet holes were found in the head. The corpse was unrecognizable, but the color of the hair and other evidences pointed to the fact that the body was that of Roland Wright. Mr. Baker secured the arrest of one young man whom he found endeavoring, has yet been produced to convict the supposed murderer or the horse thief. Further developments are awaited with interest by friends and relatives in this county and by the grief stricken parents at their home in Beaver-co.
