Christine M. "Chris" Swinford
Christine "Chris" M. Swinford, age 67, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital, Medicine Lodge.
She was born July 8, 1939 at Alva, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Chester "Doc" and the late Faye (Smith) Alltizer. A resident of Medicine Lodge since 1973, she was a CMA. She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church, Hopeton, Oklahoma.
On June 6, 1954, she married John K. Swinford at Garber, Oklahoma. He survives. Other survivors include two sons John Swinford, Jr., Sharon, Kansas, and Don Swinford, Alva, Oklahoma; three daughters, Barbara Swinford, and Kellie Winchell, both of Medicine Lodge; and Linda Kaiser, Cunningham, Kansas; a sister Betty Sample, Duncan, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Delbert Tolle; and a sister-in-law, Leona Alltizer. She was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Alltizer; two sisters, Beverly Ann Tolle and Ernestine Young, and a grandson.
Funeral service was on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at First Christian Church, Medicine Lodge, with Pastor Tom Walters officiating.
Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
