Frank and Mary Bardot came to Comanche County from Newton, Kansas, in 1917. Frank was a farmer; he worked for the Ollers and also in the Ford garage when they moved to Coldwater in 1922.

Frank was born in Bronx county, New York, in 1888 to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Von Deezelski. In his early teens, he changed his name to Frank Bardot, and came to Otis, Kansas, where he met and married Mary Krestine.

Mary (Mable) was born in Austria in 1890. She came to the United States as a small child with her mother, Annie, who later married Frank Krestine at Otis, Kansas. The Krestines lived on a farm near Otis. All the buildings are still standing are are made from native stone.

Frank and Mary Bardot had four children: Irene, Clarence and Kenneth, twins, and Margaret Winn.

In 1942, Mary Bardot moved to California.
