FUNERAL OF E. E. GRAY

Glen Gray of Tacoma, Washington arrived Saturday with the body of his father, E. E. Gray, who had died at Tacoma while on a visit to his sons in Washington.

The cause of Mr. Gray's death was paralysis. While visiting with his son, Glen, he was stricken and never rallied, dying a few days after he was taken ill.

The body was met at Dodge City by a funeral cortege from Protection, Saturday morning, and escorted here.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 from the Methodist Church. The funeral sermon was preached by Mr. Gray's pastor, the Rev. Walter H. Dellinger of the Protection M. E. Church, and the body with the full Masonic ceremony and honors at the cemetery. Interment was in the Protection cemetery by the side of his deceased wife who had preceded him in death about 3 years ago.

The funeral was largely attended as Mr. Gray was a pioneer business man of the Protection community and had a large circle of friends and acquaintances.
