Note by Bobbi Huck: This grave is in the roadside ditch on the three mile road south of Coldwater. The three mile road runs east and west. After traveling 3 miles south of Coldwater on Hwy 160, turn east and travel 8 miles east on the county road.
"Georgia Mae Holbert. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Holbert. Stillborn April 1922. In memory of our little cousin."
According to a list in The Western Star, 29 December 1905, of Marriage Licenses issued in 1905, a license was issued on November 19, 1905, to Otis Holbert and Miss Georgia May Payne. Otis Hayes Holbert was one of the men listed September 20, 1918, in The Western Star, 20 September 1918, as being one of the Comanche County, Kansas, men between the ages of 18 and 45 who had registered for the WWI draft.The Western Star, April 7, 1922: "BORN: Holbert - On Tuesday, April 4, 1922, to Mr. and Mrs. Otis Holbert, a son (sic). The little one, however, was dead when born." (S.B.)
