ARRESTED ON LIQUOR CHARGE

Sheriff W. M. McCrary is getting after the violators of the prohibitory law in good shape. The latest arrest was that of Kirby Humphrey of Protection on Monday of this week. Accompanied by Geo. McDonold of this city, County Attorney Edgar Baker and Roy Row of Protection, Mr. McCrary went to the Humphrey home at noon on Monday and made a search of the premises, with the result that four pint bottles and one quart fruit jar, filled with liquor, also two small barrels of mash, were found. A complete still, with the exception of the "worm' were also found on the premises. The wet goods and the still were taken into custody by the sheriff. Humphrey was placed under arrest and brought to Coldwater and lodged in the county jail, awaiting his preliminary hearing. Humphrey has a wife and six children. His home is a short distance west of the stock yards in Protection.
