Ronald started his schooling at the rural school at Avilla and finished there in 1942. He continued on and graduated from Coldwater high school with the class of 1946. He was a member of the F. F. A. the years he attended high school as farming was one of his greatest interests. He farmed with his father and brothers until in June 1950, when he was called into the U. S. Army service and was placed in the engineering division.

He was sent overseas in 1951 and spent 18 months in Japan and Hokkaldo. After serving his country his allotted enlistment, he returned to Camp Carson, Colo., and received honorable discharge from there in October 1952.

He was an active member of the William Finney Post No. 7640 V. F. W. and American Legion Post No. 122, both of Coldwater.

He had been afflicted since his army service with a heart condition and high blood pressure, both of which attributed to his death. He accepted with fortitude and courage his lot in life.

Ronald had a happy faculty of making friends. To know him was to like him. These friends bear witness that he had a whole hearted and generous nature and can recall many kind acts of accommodations and friendship. Throughout all of his suffering and illness he was patient and very considerate of others.

Loved ones who remain to mourn his untimely passing are his father and mother, John and Geneva Lousch, three sisters, Loma Hepner, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Carol Brooks, Blackwell, Okla., and Donna Lousch of the home; four brothers, Richard of Preston, Kans., and Roger, Larry and Terry of the home, two grandfathers, Fred Fish, Coldwater, and James Hayes, Modesto, Calif.; one grandmother, Mrs. James Hayes of Modesto, Calif.; two nephews and three nieces survive him.

He shall be missed not only by his immediate family, but a large circle of cousins, relatives and friends who knew him well.
