Raymond and Waneta Cline

On Sept. 4, 1914 a son was born to Mr. J.M. Cline of Coldwater, Kansas. He was named Raymond Everett. Raymond had six brothers and four sisters. One year three months later a daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Tucker of Minneola, Kans. She was named Mary Waneta. Waneta has one brother, Keith. The Tucker family moved to Coldwater in 1928. Both Raymond and Waneta attended and graduated from the Coldwater schools and have spent most of their lives in and around Coldwater.

Raymond and Waneta were married June 7, 1936 and have two children. Their first born, Gary Keith, was born Oct. 19, 1938.

After graduation from college, Gary enlisted in the Navy and has made that his career. At the present time he is a Commander in the Navy in charge of all shipping in the Pusan Harbor in Korea. Gary is married to the former Sylvia Hindle from The Isle of Man and has one son, Steven Matthew.

Their daughter, Rebecca Rae, was born Nov. 29, 1947. Becky married Terry Lousch, son of John and Geneva Lousch of Coldwater. Becky and Terry with their two children, Meredith and Mason, live in Emporia, Kansas where Terry is area assistant supervisor for Panhandle Eastern of Olpe, Kans.

Raymond worked for Northern Natural Gas Co. of Mullinville, Kans. for twenty-six years and retired in 1976.

Waneta Cline

EMPORIA - Waneta Cline, 85, died July 31, 2001 at Holiday Resort Rehabilitation Center, Emporia.

She was born Jan. 14, 1916, at English, Ind., the daughter of Harvey Monroe and Eva Louise Cummings Tucker. A longtime resident of Coldwater, she moved to Emporia in 1998. She was a graduate of Coldwater High School, and a homemaker.

On June 7, 1936, she married Raymond Everett Cline at Coldwater. He died July 17, 1999.

Survivors include: a daughter, Becky Setterstrom, Emporia; a son, Gary, Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at First Christian Church, Coldwater, with the Rev. Kent Little presiding. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.

Memorials may be sent to the First Christian Church, in care of Carlson Funeral Home, Emporia.
