Paul F. Moore, 59, a former resident of Protection, died at his home in Salida, Colo., November 25, 1964 after suffering a stroke.Funeral services were held Sunday, November 29, at 2 p.m., in the Baptist Church, Protection, Kans. Officiating ministers were Rev. Marvin Alley and Rev. Sanford Oyer.
A quartet, composed of Vernon Loucks, Richard Baker, Roy Selzer and Verlin Kuhns, sang "Whispering Hope" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Albert Hollar was pianist.
Pallbearers were Glen Moore, Gene Loesch, Artie Dowling, Gary Moore, Ray Dowling, and Warren Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Con Kirk, Richard Carter, Jim Roller, Ralph Lininger, Kern Bayne, George Williams, Joy Hendrix and Rea Morton.
Interment was in Protection Cemetery. Hatfield Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Obituary Paul Frankin Moore was born May 5, 1905 near Spivey, Kans., the son of Allen and Myrtle Moore. He passed away November 25, 1964, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 20 days at his home at Salida, Colo. where he had lived the past eleven years. He attended the Baptist Church there.
Most of his life was spent at Protection, Kans.
He married Elva Sims on April 6, 1936, at Buffalo, Okla.
He leaves to mourn his faithful and loving wife, one step son and his mother, Myrtle Moore of Protection, Kans., one sister, Mrs. John Loesch and three brothers, Russell, Ralph and Merton, all of Protection, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and many, many friends from wherever he lived.
