DEAD.

The funeral of John R. Morton who died at his home near Woodward, Okla., the fore part of last week, was held from the Baptist church here Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. I. W. Bailey. The remains accompanied by his son, Warren of Coldwater, arrived on the afternoon train and followed by a large concourse of friends and relatives was taken to the Baptist church where the funeral services were held. The body was then escorted by a large funeral cortege to the local cemetery where interment was made by the side of his wife and daughter who had proceeded him to the silent realms of eternity.

John R. Morton was at one time one of the foremost business men of this community but had spent the last few years of his life on his claim near Woodward, Okla. His death will be grievously felt by all his relatives in this section of the county of whom there are many.
