Heart Attack Fatal To Otto R. Sherman

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 31 1966 at 2 p.m. at the Hatfield Funeral Home in Coldwater for Otto Sherman, who died of a heart attack at the Coldwater Country Club Sunday morning. Rev. Finis G. Hodges officiating. Mrs. Suzanne Timmer was the organist and Walter Smith sang "Ivory Palaces" and "My God And I."

Pallbearers were David Cary, Lester Lenertz, Ephraim Robbins, Vertis Swarmer, Clair Thompson, and Raymond Lohrding.

Masonic graveside services were held by Comanche Lodge No. 295 A. F. & A. M. Interment was at Crown Hill Cemetery, Coldwater.

Obituary.

Otto Raymond Sherman, son of George and Emma Dewees Sherman, was born September 3, 1898 at Chester,Okla., and died Sunday morning, May 29, 1966 of a coronary occlusion at Coldwater, Kans.

He received his formal education in Kansas City, Kans., where he was united in marriage to Rosa Bauer. To this union were born six children. She passed away in May 1935. In March 1936 he was married to Elizabeth Irene Whitaker and to this union were born two children. She died in March 1953. In February 1954 he was united in marriage to Vera Guile at Wichita, Kans.

After leaving Kansas City, Kans., he moved to Protection and then spent one year in California and returned to Protection. Since 1928 Coldwater has been his home until his retirement from farming in 1961 when he moved to Sun City, Ariz.

He was a member of Coldwater Friends church, member of Masonic Lodge No. 295, Coldwater, Kans., Wichita Consistory and Midian Shrine, Wichita, Kans., and Elks Lodge of Pratt, Kans.

Survivors are his widow, Vera, of the home; children, Claude of Wichita, Kans., Clayton and Clinton Sherman and Mrs. June Burt of Coldwater, Mrs. Jean Harris of Alcova, Wyo., Norman of Dodge City, Mrs. Barabara Maczuga of Scottsdale, Ariz., Larry of Alcova, Wyo., and Gilbert of California; one sister Edith Hedrick, Cleveland, Ohio, 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was a kind loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by many friends both in Kansas and Arizona.
