Funeral services for Ben Wolf, who suffered a fatal heart attack on Tuesday, February 4, were held in the Methodist church in Coldwater Friday afternoon, February 7, at 2:30 o'clock and were largely attended. The services were in charge of Rev. Wm. A. Hawes, pastor of the Antioch Methodist church, assisted by Rev. Otis Bussart of the Coldwater Methodist church and Rev. Karl C. Schuster, pastor of the Ulysses Methodist church.Allen Grunau, vocal instructor in the Ulysses schools, sang "The Old Rugged Cross," "Compassion" and "In the Garden" and was accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Lewis Hopkins of Protection. The profusion of flowers gave evidence of the high esteem in which the deceased was held.
The honorary pallbearers were Walter Harness, G. G. Haas, Ralph Klepinger, Doyle Heft, Everett Bennett, Paul Deewall, Nig Atteberry, Ernest Miller, John Black, Harry Lohrding, Levi Steadman and Bernard Stark and the pallbearers were Lynn Haas, Russell Harness, Darrel Miller, Bob Hadley, Raymond Wright and Neil Jackson. Ushers were Jim Haas and Fred Lohrding and the flower bearers were Mrs. Jim Haas, Mrs. Glenn McCulla, Mrs. John McMoran, Mrs. L. D. Hall and Mrs. Bob Hadley.
Members of Comanche Post No. 122, the American Legion, and of Comanche Lodge No. 295, A. F. & A. M., who had charge of the services at the cemetery, each sat in a body at the church. Interment was in Crown Hill cemetery.
Obituary. Benjamin Earl Wolf, son of Andrew J. and Lucy Wolf, was born in Lamar, Mo., August 18, 1893, and passed away at his home 18 miles southeast of Coldwater, Kans., at 1:00 p.m. February 4, 1958, at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 14 days.
At an early age he moved with his parents to Stafford county, Kansas, residing there until moving to Comanche county, in 1911. Here he grew to manhood and was engaged in farming and stock raising. Upon returning from active service in the Army Air Corps of World War I, he was united in marriage with Miss Maudie Overocker of Coldwater, Kans., on July 27, 1919. They made their home southeast of Coldwater, where they continued to live until his death.
To this union were born five children - Barbara Johnson, Coral Gables, Fla.; George A. Wolf, Ulysses, Kans.; James B. Wolf, Wichita, Kans.; Eva Mae Angell, Stillwater, Okla.; and Belva Rae Wolf of Wichita, Kans. In addition to the above he is survived by eight grandchildren - Randy and Gary Johnson, Anna Dell and Ben Wolf, Rita Jill and Donald Huck, Resa Jan and Rene' Jo Angell; two sisters - Mrs. R. V. (Bessie) Richardson, Stafford, Kans.; and Mrs. D. Jay (Leona) Overocker, Coldwater, Kans., and one brother Chester Wolf, Modesto, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Hugh, Roy and Andrew Wolf, and three sisters, Katherine Norris, Mabel and May Wolf.
Ben was an active member of the Antioch Methodist church, the Masonic Lodge, Consistory and the American Legion. He was a devoted husband and father and he dearly loved his grandchildren. He was a man whose word was as good as his bond. He left a wonderful heritage for his family and loved ones. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of all.

Richardson of Stafford, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Johnson of Coral Gables, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Wm. K. Angell of Stillwater, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wright and family and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wright of Garden City and Mr. and Mrs. John Huck of Ashland.
Calling on Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. John McNeeley of Ingalls and on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Norris of Hutchinson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Norris of St. John.
