John Wright

John Wright, 83, died March 25, 1985 at Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater. The son of J. E. and Alice Wright, he was born July 21, 1899.

He grew to manhood in the Ridge Summit neighborhood where he attended grade school and later attended Wilmore High School. John served in the Marine Corps in World War I and for a short time in World War II.

He was united in marriage to Isabelle Hall on July 17, 1937 at Dodge City, Kans. They made their home on the ranch near Belvidere until September of 1983 except for nine months spent in Pioneer Lodge from June of 1978 to March 1979. They returned to Pioneer Lodge where they have lived since then.

John was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Blanche and Majel.

He is survived by his wife, Isabelle, of Pioneer Lodge, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral was held Thursday, March 28, 1985, at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Swindler officiating. Burial was in Wilmore cemetery.
