The funeral of Margaret Mae Bailey who passed away at the Larned hospital, was held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Ernest Wood, Pastor of the Baptist Church, brought a comforting message. A mixed quartet, Mrs. F. H. Moberly, Mrs. Arthur Barber, Ray Bigbee, and Nick Baker sang, "Farther Along." "Whispering Hope" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." The pallbearers were Donna Jean Barber, Rowena Seaman, Althea Alder and Shirley Wood. Burial was in the Wilmore Cemetery.The out-of-town relatives who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Evans of Latham, Mr. and Mrs. Max Neuman of Greensburg, Mr. and Mrs. Spence of Lewis; Mrs. Hinkle and son, Phillip, of Freedom, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Coverdale, of Ashland, George and Dolly Moore of Deerhead and Mr. Chandler of Nevada, Mo.
Obituary Margaret Mae Bailey was born at Coldwater, Kans., May 9, 1943 and died at Larned hospital, Larned, Kansas, June 11, being 33 days old.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her father and mother, Floyd and Florence Bailey and one sister, Anna Deane Bailey of the home; her four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Bailey of Larned, Kans., and Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Hinkle of Freedom, Okla., and a host of relatives and friends. The body was interred at the Wilmore cemetery after a brief funeral service at the Bailey home.
