The Protection Post, March 17, 1910.

OBITUARY.

Ethel Grace Holinberg was born in Dodge City, Kansas, June 16, 1890 and died in Protection, Kansas, Sunday, March 6, 1910 at the age of 19 years, 8 months and 20 days. She was married to Henry L. DeSpain, June 13, 1909.

To this union a daughter was born and after a stay with them of thirteen days was called home, preceding its mother four days.

In January 1908 Sister DeSpain was converted and united with the Protection Baptist Church in whose fellowship she remained faithful until death.

She leaves to mourn her departure husband, father, mother, three brothers and two sisters. The funeral services were held from the Baptist church conducted by her pastor, the Rev. I. W. Bailey. The scripture text used was : "Therefore be ye also ready for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of Man cometh." Matt. 22:44.

RESOLUTIONS.

Whereas: - It has pleased our Heavenly Father in his infinite wisdom to call from our midst to her. Heavenly Home, Sister Grace DeSpain whose life since coming among us has been one of purity and such promise that we are very greatly saddened by the loss of our dear sister.

Therefore, be it resolved that we bow in humble submission of our Heavenly Father while we shall miss her gentle, sweet spirited Christian influence, ever shall it live in our memories. Our Heavenly Father wanted her young spirit with him and the redeemed above.

Resolved: That our sincere sympathy be extended to her husband, parents, brothers and sisters.

Done by order of Protection Baptist Church, March 15, 1910, Committee.


Ethel DeSpain was buried in theProtection Cemetery.
