The Protection Post, March 3, 1910.

Died.

The 2 weeks old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. DeSpain died quite suddenly Tuesday night and was buried Wednesday afternoon. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. I. W. Bailey at the Baptist church. The bereaved young parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their untimely bereavement.

This child was named Madge, according to her grave marker in Protection Cemetery. Her mother, Ethel Grace (Holinberg) Despain, died four days afterwards.
