The Wilmore News, April 2, 1934.

Esther Caroline (Oliver) Dellinger

OBITUARY

Esther Oliver was born at Trade, Tenn., May 9, 1863, and departed this life at her home six miles northwest of Wilmore, April 17, 1934, at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 2 days.

She was united in marriage to Martin Dillinger, March 31, 1880 at Trade, Tenn. To this union 10 children were born, Carrie, Mollie, Charlie, Noah, and Edward all of Wilmore, Kan., Jacob of Dillinger, Wyo., Mrs. R. E. Salsberry of Waldron, Kan., and Mrs. J. F. Boyle of Waynoka, Okla.

She moved with her family to Wilmore, Kan., March 12, 1908 and has lived in this community since that time. She became a Christian at the age of 18 and lived a faithful consistent Christian life until she was called home. She was a kind and devoted wife and mother and was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, April 18, 1926, and two children, who died in infancy.

Besides her children, she leaves to mourn her loss, one sister, Mrs. Mary Larimer of Wilmore, Kan., 9 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A year ago last November grandma fell and injured her arm and hip. She did not have a well day after that. No one could have been more patient than she, and no one could have been kinder than her children were to her. Everything that loving hands could do was done to make her comfortable during the long months of suffering.

The funeral services were conducted by the pastor at the Baptist church on Friday, April 13 at 3:30 p.m. and the body was laid to rest beside her husband in the Wilmore cemetery. All the children were present. Mrs. Salsberry coming from Waldron, Kan, Mrs. J. F. Boyle of Waynoka, Okla., and Jacob Dillinger of Wyoming.

Carrie B. Dillinger, daughter of Esther Dillinger.

Mary Frances "Mollie" Dillinger, daughter of Esther Dillinger.
