Ida Mae Foster, 77, died Saturday, January 20, 2001, at Southgate Village, Topeka, Kansas. Born February 8, 1923, at Protection, Kansas, the daughter of William and Ruby (Hanan) Riner, she was a homemaker.She was a long time resident of the Kismet/Liberal area, moving to Kansas City in 1976 and then to Topeka in 1997. She graduated from Protection High School in 1941. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, and was a church greeter for many years.
On October 25, 1942, she married Fred Foster at Hutchinson, Kansas. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons: Bill Foster and his wife Jean Ann of Liberal, Kansas, and Greg Foster and his wife Donna of Topeka, Kansas; one daughter: Mindy Moff and her husband Ted of Opelousas, Louisiana; two brothers: G.T. Riner of Scott City, Kansas, and Richard Riner of Protection, Kansas; three sisters: Gladys Vogt of Protection, Kansas, Velmaree Harden of Ashland, Kansas, and Billie Summers of Mesa, Arizona; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Waldo Riner, Nevan Riner, and Ted Riner; and one sister: Enid Riner.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at the United Methodist Church in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, P.O. Box 417, Coldwater, Kansas 67029. Burial: Protection Cemetery.
