Cora (Weddle) Hufft

Funeral of Mrs. Hufft

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Weddle Hufft were held at the Assembly of God church in Coldwater at 2:30 o'clock on Friday afternoon January 12, 1940, the message being brought by the pastor, Rev. M. M. Anspaugh.

Mrs. Zerby, Mrs. Guizlo and Miss Mildred Guizlo sang three numbers - "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" "Good Night and Good Morning," and "Asleep in Jesus." Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery.

The following sketch was read at the service:

Cora Weddle was born in Jackson county, Mo., January 4, 1878, and departed this life at her home in Wilmore, Kans. on January 10, 1940, at the age of 62 years and 6 days.

On October 3, 1885, she was united in marriage with James D. Hufft, at Independence, Mo. To this union 11 children were born, four preceding her in death: Harriet, Ethel, David and Noble. Those surviving are Jessie, Ivan, Marion, Vernie, Garland and Lilly of Wilmore, and Wesley of Alamogordo, New Mexico; three sisters, Hannah Killillay of Colorado, Edna Nelson of Modoc, Kans., and Lena Holloway of Denver, Colorado, two grandchildren of Alamogordo, New Mexico, besides other relatives and friends.
