Funeral services for Winnie Misenhelter were held at the Hatfield Funeral Home in Coldwater, Kans., on Monday, February 7, 1966 at 2 p.m., Rev. Vernon A. Horney, pastor of the Coldwater Methodist church officiated. Organist was Mrs. Hazel McMurray and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Cline sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "Ivory Palaces."Pallbearers were Warren Bransom, Roy Purcell, Darrell Smith, Homer Hartwell, Donald Booth, and Clarence Bardot. Interment was in Crown Hill cemetery near Coldwater.
Mr. Misenhelter passed away on Friday, February 4, 1966 at the sanitarium in Norton, having been there one day. He had been in failing health for several years.
Obituary Winfield Misenhelter was born on a farm near Casville, Mo., on September 20, 1886. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Oklahoma settling near Faxon, There he grew to manhood. In the fall of 1917 he married Miss Clara Misenhelter in Joplin, Mo., and to this union one child was born, Celesta Misenhelter Murray. He brought his family to Coldwater in 1921 and has lived here ever since.
He is survived by his wife, Clara, daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Murray, two grandchildren, Deborah and Rodney Murray of Seibert, Colo.
He was a member of the Coldwater Methodist church, the I. O. O. F. Lodge, and Woodman of the World.
Mr. Misenhelter was sexton at Crown Hill Cemetery for 17 years until he retired due to ill health.
