Mrs. E. F. Moore of Ashland, wife of Frank Moore, and former Protection resident, died at Larned, Kansas, Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Her death climaxed a two weeks' illness and was unexpected by relatives and friends.She had been in failing health for about two months but her physicians considered that a short rest would benefit or restore her to normal health and she was resting at Larned.
However, her condition became critical, Saturday last and her family were called to her bedside. She never rallied and death came Sunday to relieve her sufferings.
Mrs. Moore was a talented and cultured woman, kindly, affable and a friendly and kindly natured lady.
In her home she will be sadly missed and the void of her absence impossible to assuage.
She leaves to mourn her husband, E. F. Moore and two small children and several step-children and a number of relatives and hosts of friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services, conducted by the Elder J. H. Lynch, pastor of the Protection Christian Church, were held from the local church, Tuesday March 18, and interment was in the Protection cemetery. - Protection Post.
