The Wilmore News, August 12, 1915.

Obituary

Ira LeRoy Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Avery Phillips, was born August 31, 1913, died August 10, 1915; age one year, eleven months and ten days.

On Friday July 30 he was taken very ill with inflammation of the bowels, and thru out the sickness he suffered intensely. How we are reminded of this scripture; "and death by sin."

Even tho a vigilant watch was kept, and medical skill was applied faithfully, the little life ebbed out. We always wonder why these future hopes, and aspirations of ours are torn from our fond hearts. "he knows, Our Father knows it all."

The funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church by the pastor. The Willing Worker Girls Sunday School class furnished the pall bearers. The floral offering was very beautiful and appropriate.

The News joins the community in expressions of sympathy to the bereaved family.

Card of Thanks

We wish to thank our friends for their kindness to us during the sickness and death of our baby, and for the beautiful floral offering; also Dr. Morton for his faithful and persistent attention.
