OBITUARY

Mrs. Lillie Lee was born December 30, 1889 in Trade, Tennessee, and departed this life in Silver City, New Mexico, at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 26 days.

She came with the family to Wilmore, Kansas, in March 1908 where she lived until 1925 when she moved to New Mexico where she has since lived.

She was united in marriage to Avery Phillips in Coldwater, Kansas, September 4, 1910. To this union three children were born, two of whom died in infancy.

She was united in marriage to Richard T. Lee in Greensburg, Kans., September 2, 1925.

She was converted in her early teens and joined the Zionville Baptist Church near Trade, Tennessee, where she held her membership until she joined the Wilmore Baptist Church. Her membership has been here almost from the beginning of the organization of this church.

During her entire life she has been very much interested in the work of the church and even though, during the past few years, she has not been where she could regularly attend church she again and again, when writing to loved ones, has expressed a deep interest in the work of the church. Her faith was so firmly fixed in her Lord that when others were disturbed and fretting she remained calm and sure as she went about her daily tasks. The spirit of her life was well expressed by Nettie L. Curtis who wrote:

OTHERS

Lord help me to live from day to day
In such a self-forgetful way,
That even when I kneel to pray,
My prayer shall be for - Others!

Help me in all the work I do
To ever be sincere and true,
And know that all I'd do for you
Must needs be done for - Others!

She leaves to mourn her going her father, T. E. P. Larimer, Wilmore, Kans., her husband, R. T. Lee, Gila, New Mexico, her son, Ivan Phillips, Newton, Kans., two brothers, Lester and Oliver, Wilmore, Kans., one sister, Mrs. Francis Johnson, Sedgwick, Kans., a stepson, Lester Lte, Morence, Arizona, and three grandchildren, besides a number of other relatives and friends.
