Mrs. John Rolf

The Western Star, August 26, 1893 .

Died.

Mrs. Rolf, the aged mother of Henry Baker and Mrs. I. N. Powell, died at the home of her son, on Mule Creek, Sunday, at 3:25 o'clock, aged 86 years and 13 days. Her demise was probably caused from old age, as she had been in feeble health for some time.

"Grandma Baker," as she was known, was a consistent and esteemed Christian mother, having been a member of the Baptist church for over 40 years. Funeral services were conducted Monday by Rev. Woodburn, and the remains peacefully laid to rest in the Coldwater cemetery.

Her husband's name was John Rolf, according to List of Pioneer Settlers Buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, The Western Star, 16 June 1933.
