A telegram was received by relatives here on Thursday morning of this week conveying the sad intelligence that Mrs. Maudie Stanley, wife of Henry M. Stanley, had died at 8 o'clock that morning in Garden City. Death was the result of euremic poisoning. Mrs. Stanley's brother, Earl Guizlo, and wife, also Mr. Stanley's bother, Lawton Stanley, and wife, and Mrs. Oscar Taylor started Thursday morning for Garden City.Deceased was well known here, having lived in the county for several years. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Guizlo, now both deceased, and who were among the honored citizens of this county. She was an accomplished young lady and won many friends wherever she went.
Her untimely death brings a keen sense of sorrow to many people here who knew her well. Her marriage to Henry M. Stanley occurred in this city on September 14, 1915. About a year later they moved to Garden City where Mr. Stanley has since conducted a job printing office. The sorrowing husband and other relatives have the sincere sympathy of many friends here in their sad affliction.
