Obituary

Orda Franklin Trummel was born in Bloomington, Ill., January 6, 1882 and passed away at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 16 days, after a long illness. He came to Kansas in 1888 with his mother, Mrs. Emma Trummel. His father had passed away before they came west.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Ethel, four sons, Lester and Robert of Wichita, Kenneth of Coldwater, Rolland of Durango, Colo., and one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Helm of Wilmore.

A son, Ernest, preceded him in death during World War II, in the service of his country. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother, Alva, of Wilmore and a sister, Mrs. Grace Cummings of Coldwater.

He was converted during a revival meeting at the Christian church in Wilmore and united with the Methodist church.

Ord was loved and respected by all who knew him. He always seemed to think of others before himself. He had filled many different offices and services in the church to serve his Lord and master.

He was always ready with heart and hand to do more than his share with his prayers, his presence and his money.

Ord was devoted to his family, loved little children and his highest ambition was for his own children to be loyal Christian citizens. He was always found on the right side of any subject. The church and community will sadly miss his influence.
