William ARMSTRONG married Mary FITZPATRICK of Nemaha Co. Ks. Her father was William FITZPATRICK of Nemaha Co. Ks. Gottlieb WEBER b 1853 came from Switzerland to settled in Nemaha Co. Ks and died in 1932. William Marvain MURPHY was born in 1894 Deerborn, Mo d 1963 Nemaha Ks.

Looking for information regarding Jacob Ingram MCMILLEN (possibly MCMILLAN, MCMILLUN) or Mary Anna (TURNER) McMILLEN. Jacob was born in 1875 in Missouri, Mary Anna was born in 1883 Springfield MO. Not sure of the year they were married. They moved to Leavenworth KS in 1923. Jacob possibly was also married to Leota May (maiden name and dates are unknown), there is a daughter by the name of Alice Mae MCMILLEN JOHNSON. Leota May MCMILLEN died May 7, 1967. Alice Mae was declared incompetant by the courts in Sabetha KS June 21, 1946 she had 4 children. Jacob died 1945. Mary Anna died 1966.

Seeking information about my grandmother, Maud Emma LYNDE, born June 16, 1885 in Sabetha, Brown or Nemaha County, Kansas. Married to 1: Donald Lynde MUNRO, 2: Rich Hawykey 3: John Farmer. Maud moved to Colorado at an early age and married Donald Lynde MUNRO, who died in Silverton, CO in 1815. She then married Rich Hawykey who died in 1936 in Parker, CO. Her 3rd husband, John Farmer died about 1941 in Parker, CO. I have searched for records of Maud LYNDE in the Sabetha Library and Court House as well as in Nemaha County, and have been unable to find any information. Maud had two sisters, Gertrude LYNDE, born 1875, and Matilda LYNDE, born 1884. She had a brother, William LYNDE, born about 1886.

Researching ancestors and decendants of Andrew BREWERand wife Eunice ALDERMAN, who moved to Nemaha County in the late 1850's from Morgan County, Kansas and are buried in the BREWER Cemetary, located on their old farm, about 7 miles North of Baileyville, Kansas along with other BREWER decendants. JOHN SHAWVER was born, Aug. 26th. 1817, near Steubenville, Ohio. On May 24th, 1846, he married Elizabeth Bogle in Cedar Co., Iowa. Between the years of 1853 and 1856, John Shawver removed his family to Havensville, Kansas, where he would be appointed Treasurer of Dist. No. 2. The first school was held in the district in 1863, in a frame building located on the northwest corner of the John Shawver farm. In 1866 he ran a blacksmith shop in Savannah. Sometime thereafter, John Shawver with family in tow, crossed the plains and settled in the Boise Valley Basin, near Caldwell, Idaho. His eldest son, Jacob Shawver married Jane Arbaugh in Seneca, Kansas. Infant daughter, Lovesa, is buried in an undisclosed location, probably in the area of Havensville. The other children are as listed; Parley, John Otis Mary C. or Katie M., and Ella Rosetta. The later being my own own great-grandmother, born in Havensville, Kansas in 1866. Any information regarding these two families, the Shawver's and the Bogle's, would be dearly appreciated.

Would like to contact anyone with information on either the Llewellyn Castle or the families that settled there. I intend for this study of the Llewellyn Castle settlers to be as thorough and complete as possible. Not only do I plan to write a sympathetic account of the colony itself, I also intend to examine the lives of the settlers before they left London and after the dissolution of the colony. Therefore, any information or leads to the colony and individual settlers is always greatly appreciated.

Am looking for information on David William Kinnison. He was born in IL in 1820 and came to Nebraska with a Mr. Delay in 1840. They were the first white men to settle in Nebraska between Brock and Julian. He was a farmer, circuit riding Methodist minister and a wagon freighter between Nebraska City and Denver. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The obituary of my grandfather, David William Walton, states that he was born in Oneida, KS. All family records (Bibles, letters) give the birth date as Jan. 1, 1873. He was married to Elizabeth McEntee and they lived and died in Red Willow County, Nebraska. David Wm. Walton had six sisters who grew to adulthood: Anna, Rosa, Clara, Margaret May, Marie and Flora Bell. An LDS sheet shows that two, Clara and Margaret May, were born in Seneca, KS. However, the line for Clara and Margaret list Seneca as the town and Oneida as the County. This appears to be an error as I look at my map of Kansas. (I live in Oregon.) The main focus of my search is the father of this family, John A. Walton. I know that he was married to Flora Bell Cottar and that he died in Frontier County Nebr. in August, 1888. (I have genealogy of Flora Bell Cottar back to 1500's.) To sum up, (1) how can I verify that David William Walton was born in Oneida, KS,? (Even though the obituary says so, I wonder, because several sisters, both older and younger, were born in Cedar County Iowa.) And are there any records--census, newspaper or whatever--of John A. (Andrew?) (Anda?) Walton's presence in Nemaha County KS?
