Hello, I was needing some information regarding The Parker Amusement CO. which may have been out of the Sabetha area in the years of 1905,1906, and later. I think my great-grandfather and his daughters may have performed in that company. The girls were trapeze artists. His name was Henry Larabee and there was an article in the Sabetha paper on his marriage January 18, 1900. He married a Mrs.Mary Fikau. Would appreciate any help or advice you might give me on this information.

I have been visiting the Nemaha County site looking for ancestors of my husband's. Rick is the son of Warren Mayer and Eva Worcester. Warren Mayer was the son of Charles Mayer and STella Hough. Stella was the daughter of V.O. Hough and Ella Lochnane (Locknane?). Eva Worcester was the daughter of James Worcester and Julia Miller. Julia Miller (1877-1952) was the daughter of John Miller and Lucinda (?). As far as I know, all were from the Wetmore/Goff area. Have you any information on these people? I wonder whether Ella could have been the daughter of David Lochnane, who owned the Granada Hotel. Rick has lost touch with his KS connections. Will welcome any information you have, or referral to others who may be familiar with these lines.

I have been trying to find information on my great grandparents and their siblings from Seneca, KS. Several are buried in the Seneca City cemetery in Seneca, KS. My great grandfather, George Marion Kuykendall (1876-1957?) and his wife, Matilda Jane Carpenter Kuykendall (1879-1943) moved to the Seneca area in their early married life. Some of their children were born in Oklahoma. My great grandparents lived in close proximity at the time of their deaths, but had been divorced a few years before Matilda's death in 1943. Do you have any idea how I could possibly find a record of their divorce from Nehema County? My father's cousin Virginia Kuykendall (never married) still lives in the original family home in Seneca.

"The Thompson-Given Families" by the Rev. S.F. Thompson, was as a complete description of the descendants of Rev. Thompson's grandfather (William Thompson, b ca. 1741, Scotland) as Rev. I am more than willing to share what little I have at present, or whatever I might gather in the future.

STUKE - I am seeking information on Henry STUKE, supposedly died 1944 at Seneca, Nemaha County, Kansas. He was a brother to my great-grandmother, Anna Mary STUKE MAHANNA (born 8-18-1865 Germany, married 1-11-1888 Akron, Washington County, Colorado, died 3-9-1944 Waterloo, Blackhawk County, Iowa). They were both born in Germany, and came to the US about 1884. Anna's death certificate, obituary, and census records indicates the parents are Anton STUKE and Elizabeth OLDERNDRIK, but I have no further information on this family. Did Henry have a family? Does anyone have any further information on the ancestry or German origin of Henry and Anna? Henry is the only known relative of my great-grandmother, and any information would be most appreciated. Thanks!
