During the years that Warren lived in Wilmore, he served as a member of the city council and took an active interest in all church and community affairs. He was a member of the Wilmore grade school board for six years and later served in an advisory capacity with the building committee when the plans were made for the new high school. He had also kept the cemetery records for a long period of years. He had been an active member of the Wilmore Baptist church since 1926 and at the time of his death was serving his 32nd year as church treasurer.
