She spent her girlhood days living in and near Springfield, Mo. In Coldwater, Kans., on December 21, 1905, she was united in marriage with J. L. Kluttz. They lived in Woods County, Oklahoma, a good many years, where they had farm and ranch interest. Later they moved to Wilmore, Kans., where for a number of years they were in business. Mr. Kluttz or Lew as he was known, preceded her in death on May 29, 1938.
Having no family and being lonely, Mrs. Kluttz for a number of years worked as a nurse's aid in a hospital in St. Louis, Mo., along with her sister, Dora. Later she did the same type of work at the Baptist Hospital in Concordia, Kansas. Here she met and was united in marriage with George Doyle in 1945. Mr. Doyle preceded her in death in 1947.
For several years Mrs. Doyle had been in failing health and had been bedfast for some time. To miss her going are three sisters; Mrs. S. F. Bass, Springfield, Mo.; Dora Echelmeyer, Pomona, Calif.; Mrs. B. J. Herd, Coldwater; three brothers; Jimmy McMillan, Fair Grove, Mo., L. B. McGinnis, Coldwater; W. H. McGinnis, Los Angeles, Calif.; and a host of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Doyle devoted much of her time visiting the sick and aged. She loved the beauty of nature and loved to take long walks and enjoy the song of a bird or the rippling of a stream.
As a young woman she was soundly converted in a revival meeting in Springfield, Mo. In later years she moved her membership to the Baptist church of Wilmore of which she remained a faithful member until death.
