Body of motorcyclist, 27, found. The frost-covered body of a 27-year-old man involved in a motorcycle accident was found yesterday morning in a ditch in the 600 block of East Fairmount Avenue.
Police identified the man as Loren D. Ferrin, no address available. Police said he was eastbound when the accident occurred at about 1 a.m.
He failed to negotiate a turn at 6065 E. Fairmount Ave., then continued over the curb and through a bush before landing on a cement drainageway on the east side of the wash, police said.

The frost-covered body of Loren D. Ferrin, 27, of Tucson was found at about 7:30 a.m. yesterday by Tucson police after a caller reported seeing signs of an earlier crash on East Fairmount Avenue. Neighbors later reported having heard loud noises at about 1 a.m., police said.
Traffic investigators said Ferrin was apparently driving his motorcycle east on Fairmount when he failed to make a 90-degreed turn in the 6000 block of East Fairmount.
His motorcycle ran over the curb and through a bush and threw Ferrin onto a concrete drainage ditch on the side of a wash 70 to 80 feet away, police said. Ferrin was dead at the scene.
