HAROLD RAY VEATCH

Harold Ray Veatch, age 74, died Oct 14, 1997, at his home in Wichita.

He was born May 25, 1923, at Anthony, to George Leio and Gladys Elma Parr Veatch.

A former resident of Coldwater, he graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1943 and had been a resident of Wichita since 1945. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Wichita. He was a retired finish carpenter.

On August 27, 1944, he married Roberta Ferrin at Coldwater. She survives.

Other survivors include one son, Ronald Veatch, and a daughter, Linda Manske, both of Wichita; and four grandchildren: Melissa Manske, Meghan Veatch, Timothy Veatch and Jessica Veatch.

Graveside services were held October 17, 1997, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, with Rev. Elwyn Tedford presiding. Military services followed the funeral.

Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association in care of Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater.
