The Western Star, November 23, 1923.

OBITUARY - MRS. T. J. FOREE

Nannie Jackson Templeton Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Jackson, was born in Barton, Md., on May 5, 1879, and died in the Baptist hospital in Little Rock, Ark., on November 17, 1923, aged 44 years, 6 months and 12 days. The family moved to Comanche-co. in the year 1891 and made their home in the New Eden neighborhood. On December 24, 1989, deceased was united in marriage with Thos. J. Foree, and to this union five children were born - Thomas Madison, aged 18, Robert Bruce, aged 16; Albert Wallace, aged 11; Marion Elizabeth, aged 8 and Margaret Ada, age 5. Mrs. Foree is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. Frank Willard, now of Calico Rock, Ark., and by the five children above named.

The Foree family moved from this county to Arkansas a little over five years ago and continued to make their home near Calico Rock in that state. Mrs. Foree was much devoted to her family, always kind and ever true to every instinct of a faithful and loving wife and mother. Hers had been a life of unselfish devotion to the highest standards of christian living. Her membership had long been in the Baptist church. She had also been a member of the order of Eastern Star for a number of years. How much she will be missed in the family and by those who knew her cannot be expressed in mere words. She will long be remembered as one of the best of mothers and as a loyal friend to all.

Burial was made in Wilmore on Thursday afternoon of last week. Rev. A. Burrill, of the Methodist Episcopal church, a friend and the pastor of the family for many years, was in charge of the funeral which was held from the Baptist church and which was attended by a large number of the former neighbors of the deceased. It was a fitting last good bye to one who had been so well known in the community for many years.

Thomas Madison Foree, eldest son of Thomas J. and Nannie T. (Jackson) Foree.
