Obituary

Royce Clark Richardson, son of C. E. Richardson and Amanda (Clark) Richardson, was born March 24, 1910 at Wilmore, Kans. He passed away November 1, 1968 at the Comanche County Hospital, Coldwater, Kans., after a short illness.

He attended school at Wilmore and Winfield, graduating from Southwestern College in 1932 with a degree in Business Administration. After graduation, he engaged in the general mercantile business at Wilmore.

On April 19, 1942, he married Harriet Scott at Winfield, Kans. One daughter, Mary Luetta, was born to this union.

After serving with the Air Force in the Pacific area during World War II, he returned to Wilmore where, at the time of his death, he was operating Royce's Grocery.

He will be remembered by his friends as a man who never pushed his own interests at the expense of others. He was utterly unselfish helping everyone but himself and at the last he neglected his health for his business. His family will always remember him as a loving husband and father.

Survivors are his widow, Harriet, his daughter, Mary Luetta; four sisters, Mrs. Lorene Ferrin, Mrs. Velma Leiss, Mrs. Sylvia Clayton, Mts. Rita Golobay; one brother, Valtos Richardson; several nieces and nephews.
