Funeral services were held for Eva Foree on Friday, April 24, 1970, at the Christian church in Coldwater, Kans., with Bernard Plumb and Rev. Forrest Frazier officiating. Mrs. Roy Burkhall, organist, accompanied Raymond Cline, Lee Roy Cline, Mrs. Lena Haun and Mrs. Barbara McGinnis as they sang "In the Garden" and "Jesus Savior, Pilot Me." Pallbearers were Leroy McGinnis, Roy Purcell, Clarence Bardot, Cecil Wilson, Vernie White and Allen Cline.Interment was in Crown Hill cemetery, Coldwater, Kans.
Obituary. Eva Elizabeth Foree, daughter of Edward and Elnora Seyfrit, was born in Marcoupin county, Carlinville, Ill., October 31, 1885 and departed this life April 21, 1970 in the Comanche County Hospital at the age of 84 years, 5 months, 21 days. She has been a member of the Coldwater Christian church since May 14, 1911. She, with her older sister, Margaretta (Maggie), and parents, moved to Comanche county from Illinois in 1886 and has resided here her entire life.
She was united in marriage to Charles E. Foree, November 14, 1906. To this union were born one son and three daughters. Preceding her in death were her husband, one daughter, Elsie May, two sisters, Margaretta (Maggie Frazier) and Emma L. Seyfrit, and one brother, Lewis M. Seyfrit.
She is survived by two daughters, Lucile, of the home and Lee Hecht, Coldwater. One son, Charles Richard, and his wife, Carrie, Wichita. One sister, Sophrona Seyfrit, and one brother, Valentine (Tiny), both of Coldwater. Others who mourn her passing are four grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She noted: "This microfilmed obituary has a line through the date April "23", and "30" appears to have been penciled in. I don't know who does this, probably the historical society, due to the paper using the wrong date. As you can see her services were on the 24th of April. The correct date of the obituary must be April 30, 1970.
